Artful Activities…Even When It’s Cold!
While we certainly do not have it as bad as our comrades to the north, the chilly weather is sending us for a loop! If you are searching for things to do while the temperature is down, take a look at my recent blog on artful activities to keep you busy until we get back to our normal winter weather, which is, of course, the rest of the country's summer weather. 😎
Visit knights at The Ringling, experience the verdant world of Paul Gauguin at Selby Gardens, share a chat at Bookstore One with your favorite author (like Martin Walker, pictured), or simply keep it classic with a book, a blanket, and the beach. Warm weather or no, options still abound to find the art of living in Sarasota this time of year. Read more here.
Circus Sarasota reopens this month under the Big Top at Benderson Park.
Tickets are available now for the show (with a bonus 20% discount for opening weekend), which will feature 33 performances, including acrobatic hand balancing, extreme juggling, high wire, and much more! Circus Sarasota runs from February 15 through March 10.
And right after our wonderful local circus ends, the Ulla Searing Big Top opens again to host Cirque de Voix (Circus of Voices), which features 100+ vocalists from the Key Chorale, a 40 piece Cirque Orchestra, and spellbinding circus acts. You can catch Cirque de Voix March 22-24.
